Absolutely it's a head fake. The worst offenders may be forced to limit the
most outrageous of their behaviors, but it will only be on the surface. Males
have been lording it over females for 250,000 years or more. It's built into
their DNA, and they're not about to give it up. Hollywood is no different than
any other industry. Look at all the Republicans who have spent the last 30
years maneuvering to return women to the status of male property. For the male
of the species, it's all about power, the control of territory and resources,
and along with it the right to procreate. It will take many, many generations
to retrain and rewire this mindset, assuming they don't start a war that will
return us all to the Stone Age. I'm glad my fellow females have made a start,
but it's only just that.
