A confrontation ensues. She sees beneath his hostility; but, her power to neutralize her attacker comes as a surprise! It leaves one to ponder an age-worn mystery. Coincidence or Divine Intervention? You paint a very clear picture as if watching a movie instead of just reading. You hold your breath waiting for the rock to fly only to exhale in relief when it doesn't. Very enjoyable read.

Your descriptions and vocabulary seem so prefect a way to contrast the boy's wielding of ignorance and anger, that I was just a bit put off by the quote.

In many eyes, such a quote (which is a wonderful one) replaces the rationality you've displayed.

Your character's disposition toward aggression is the key here. And, whether attributed to an Eastern philosophy or Western religion, it is wisdom gained through long contemplation... Show more
