It's just a supermarket trip, right? But nothing is ever easy with the stares, the looks, and the quiet comments. Not when she is with him, not when she feels as though she is walking on shattered glass.

I don't believe it! I'm... I'm crying! That was so perfect, and Eva did a lovely job with your cover. It was beautiful I don't think you need to change anything here!

Thank you so much! This is perhaps the one story I feel almost 100% ok about.

That- That was nothing short of lovely. I don't have words for how very impressed I am with both the story and the style of this piece. Very well done, and I love the way the cover turned out.

Thank you so much. All these lovely comments are doing wonders for my confidence!

The cover is squarely down to E. K. Perkins who designed it for me. There are some really lovely people here at bookrix :)

Wow!
My two children have Aspergers, which is at the higher end of the autistic spectrum and I can relate to many of the traits mentioned (especially with my son). Sensory issues play a big part in their everyday lives and can be easily misconstrued by both strangers and extended family as naughty behavior.
I truly hope you decide to extend this story.

Thank you so much! There is nothing that I find sadder than the way that some people react to a child who has special needs.

I am now the one with the oddly watery glint in my eye. What a touching story, young lady. Keep them coming!

That was amazing. I really wish that I could write as well as you can. You got the emotions just right, and it was a beautiful story. I am honored to have made the cover for such a heart warming story.

Thank you so much, what a lovely thing to say. And I've been reading some of your stories - don't sell yourself short!

Your writing is nearly flawless. I rarely find this much heart and extraordinarily well-expressed depth of feeling in even mature authors, much less someone so young! What a joy it is to finally, FINALLY read a work by a young person that isn't a jumble of misspelled, mangled, unintelligible syntax and cliched topics. I was captivated from the first sentence, and made my voice student (who showed up at my door somewhere... Show more

Well, that started my day off with a few tears. Emotional, gripping, painful, a 'take the reader and throw him off the cliff' heart wrench'er.

Young lady, all I can say is keep writing. You have that rare talent of translating raw human emotion onto the written page. Keep at it, you should go far.
