I was paying for my college credits out of my own savings. I hardly think
that's entitlement.

If my son received the same treatment I did by a college program - no serious
discussion about how to start the major and told not to bother trying to enter
- I would make some polite phone calls, and possibly help him enroll in a
different college altogether. It's easy to see at this point, but when you are
17, it's overwhelming.
