If the voting age we’re to be be lowered to 16, I personally do not believe
that it will make any significant change to the society that we live in today.
Changing the voting age will not help simply because a lot of teenagers these
days are too easily influenced by others. Some teenagers don’t understand the
impact that their votes can have. They tend to make decisions with out
thinking of the consequences and they can do the same when voting. However, I
do agree that it isn’t important for teenagers to have a voice. They can be
heard through means other than voting. For instance, the school walkouts have
gotten a lot of attention in the past weeks and they’ve have made their voices
heard. For these reasons I believe voting age should remain at 18.
