Thank you so kindly. It was an entry in a contest that had to center around 'Suspense & Secrets'. Didn't win but did get 3rd or something! No matter - I got a nifty little story out of it and that's what matters.

yeah you're definitely right. :) and this story left me wondering what really happened to the girl. I really like suspense/mystery stuffs cause it makes me guess who's the culprit of such crime. I'm gonna read your other book "Vanished" too. :)

Thanks. It honest to goodness was a story that was born from a scary dream I had one night. The final version of the story will not have the same ending as this one ... in fact, the only thing that will really be similar has to do with the phrase 'Can you help me find my shoes?'

The actual story, which I've already written a skeleton for, hehe, that sounded a bit creepy considering what it's about --- deals with a woman in a secluded area (okay so that's sort of similar!) but she starts seeing dead children in her new house...

Scariest scene --- woke me up in a sweat, no joke --- she's pregnant taking a long soak in her tub when she's dreaming that there are all these dead little girls looking down at her and opens her eyes to see her own daughter looking down at her.

There's a flash of lightning and a crash of thunder, the lights go out and flicker back on and all the girls are standing around her daughter. Her child looks at her and says, "Mama, someone is coming."

The lights flicker again and she sees a man rushing past the window with the lightning outlining his body. He stops and looks at her.

That's when I woke up - totally freaked me out and I grabbed my notebook and just started writing.

My poor husband just groaned and pulled the pillow over his head!

I'm hoping to get it finished sometime this summer.

And yes, it takes place in the south. Where else would you have those powerful raging thunder storms in the middle of July?
