When Life Becomes Hell

Do dreams come true? By:
When Life Becomes Hell
Since the primordial time people imagine and dream. In the cobwebs of their mind sweet fancies loiter. In dreams they often see a colorful world, a rainbow tainting the sky. Reality is such an austere thing. Dreams get crushed like a piece of glass broken into shards. These shattered dreams torment and agonize us and embed within us a vicious circle of intense pain which revolves in our psyche.

In this piece of flash fiction, Ms. Mitra explores the extent to which a human can be abused, both verbally and physically before revenge is justifiable.

There are no hard answers, but this story will raise a lot of questions & debate by various religious and non-religious groups. - In short, a quick read that will leave you pondering.

Hi Koyel,

I only read the sample but enjoyed the style. Just a few points:

- If he was doing a Masters in Mathematics why did he become a lawyer - maybe describe how he is disillusioned by his study and so turned to a different profession.

- You mention 'Masters' twice when describing Rani's study.

Apart from that I like it and wish you the best of luck.

Reading sample:)

Think "hook", maybe? I like your opening paragraph very much. What would happen if in the next you went directly into scene? Or even opened in-scene, and then went back to exposition concerning Rani and her upcoming predicament?

This is an anger filled story of inter familial repression, class warfare and self important snobbery versus a woman who is free of blame, taking correct action to... Show more

I think I have read this before, and still have a vague recollection of what she thought was going to be a happy marriage going very wrong, wonderful story too.
