Wow, did not expect that ending....Loved it....Very nicely done.
Very touching. I don't want to give everything away but the end like Felix said "hit me like a ton of bricks." I thought it was so sweet and a great twist.
I did not research the validity of "liquid blue eyes" but responded on my reaction to the phrase. Have you ever seen eyes swimming in tears? They are wet (could be blue or brown) but are liquid blue. I don't know that it matters much - he got the point across - and as writers, I think we are allowed poetic license, right? Love you all.
You CAN have it as a throw away comment. I stand corrected.
You can have blue liquid and you can have blue eyes but if you're going to write liquid blue, we may know what you mean, as i did, but it wont be correct. Sorry!
I know what oft times means. It means often. I think it is an acceptable couple of words.
3. 'Liquid-blue eyes' Do you mean blue liquid? Liquid-blue! Um, I can't make sense of it.
Maybe he meant "limpid blue eyes" - but in my opinion, why not liquid blue eyes? I have seen liquid blue eyes many a time, and they are gorgeous.
Perhaps it is the British/American difference that is coming between you. It's possible.
