My guess is that regulating firearms is more likely to happen at the state
level. And really, urban and rural states have different takes on gun control.
At the federal level, fully funding the agencies that perform background
checks and rescission of the prohibition on keeping permanent records of
purchases might be possible given changes in the makeup of Congress.

Repealing the second amendment would be a heavy lift under the best of
conditions. If that is the only item on your agenda, go ahead and try; it
would certainly swallow up all of a governing party's political resources.

Politics is the art of the possible.

This was really good. You don't tell the reader what he actually gets taken by so they use their imagination. I really liked it.
