We do not know if high libido translates to sexual
assault/violence/aggression. there is a misconception that aggression,
assault, libido, anger, boasting, confidence is somehow all intertwined with
testosterone levels. Testosterone's role in behavior is VERY complicated yet
the media has pushed the theory (and it's hard to blame them for this because
some scientists do the same) that when you see a man who has raped or
assaulted or is bragging or insulting other men/women (e.g., trump) he has
high testosterone. This is not always the case and in fact the evidence out
there suggests these men actually have LOW T and high cortisol. Some actually
have found it is the ratio of testosterone to cortisol that determines whether
someone will be violent. lastly, there have been studies showing that when a
man thinks he has been given testosterone, when he has in fact been given
placebo, he will act more aggressive. While the group given testosterone (and
didn't know it) actually acted more COOPERATIVE at times, aggressive durings
other times, showing that context matters.

Basically, the common perception of testosterone and behavior is in general,
not accurate. Lots of nuance.
