Some good memories, but mostly bad ones come out of such troublesome times. Well wrtten snipet of such a time in recent history.

A good writer paints a clear picture for the reader, using words as a medium. CJ does a nice job here; I could picture the scenes she was painting, she achieved her goal.

Also, well edited and clean.

My favorite line..."she tattooed a vivid eternal memory in my mind." Nice. But before you get a big head, you should have used a comma after vivid!

Description is good. The entry to the main story concept is very good. You are able to keep the story going on.The end needed more illustration.Anyway,I like to vote for your entry.

This brought back memories of my trip to Oahu, visiting the same ship. You wrote this well and have my vote.
