All too soon though, his eyes got cloudy, and his grip on my hand loosened. He closed his eyes so that I wouldn’t see his pain, but the smile never left his face. His breathing slowed until it just stopped completely and I couldn’t hold back anymore.

When a writer can evoke emotion from a reader its a job well done. The purpose would be to tell a story, fact or fiction, to make the reader feel as if it were happening to them.

The descriptions in this book are not of the surroundings. Through words in a dialogue I felt the emotions of these people. The writer also gave a peek into her thoughts, which added so much to the overall effect of this book. Only having 10 pages,... Show more
