seems to me there is more of a turning away from the Trump USA than a turn to
Russia. And US critics do have a point, the US and the west did help overthrow
a pro-Russian government in Ukraine, so there is now another unintended
consequence coming home to roost.
And the US interference in the Middle East and north Africa has helped swamp
Italy with unassimilated refugees, asylum seekers, and would-be immigrants,
Italians cannot be blamed for saying, enough!
But, maybe because I live in a state with many Italian-Americans, I'm
confident fine relations will persist between the Italian and American people
who have a lot of affection for each other's country despite the politics.
