Don't assume that because Trump acts, there is an ideological position. The
steel tariffs were an attempt to sway a by-election in Pennsylvania; the
washing machine tariffs were pay back for a Whirlpool heir Michigan
Congressman's vote to repeal Obamacare. One worked, the other didn't. But
neither had anything to do with thinking about the World Order. The main
impact is the US is no longer the holier-than-thou Moral Leader. So what?
After 60 years maybe it's time to share that role.
