Are we certain amending the constitution won't lead to other unfortunate
outcomes? A problem with policymakers is they typically think narrowly about
one topic, with complete disregard to how it will affect society as a whole.

I wonder how often those who propose amending the constitution read about how
that has played out in other countries throughout history? Certainly, the 17
years old marching in the street haven't. Has Justice Stevens ever given
serious thought to the above quote? Doubt it. He studied English as an
undergrad and masters student, then law school, then worked in a courtroom for
the rest of his career. 0 credentials in history.
