About the sofa, I meant for it to be old. In my mind, it was slowly falling apart. Threadbare, the springs poking through, but still comfy in the way old couches can be. I don't know if I'm making sense, but it's in my mind.

I /know/ some parts were cheesy, haha. I wrote this for a Creative Writing course, and my teacher edited some parts and wouldn't grade it unless I changed it. T-T In my opinion,... Show more

Hi Jen,

I really liked your story. You kept me interested with your vivid descriptions and dialogue. There were definite themes within your writing of grief and acceptance.

Your description of her sofa was squashy sofa and then another was threadbare. I wondered about the consistency with that, not sure it rang true but probably just me.
