Stacey, this is wonderful...how behind a seemingly lifeless body stands a spirit with real emotion and the simplest needs and desires. Your ending brought a smile to my face. Excellent and so moving. Kudos.

Thank you for pointing out the repeated words. I will go back and see what I can do. You are so right...it does take someone else to notice.

What a beautiful, heart-rending story that was. It not only told a story, but was a lesson for all of us. Personally, I will never look at a voiceless handicapped person the same way again. Thank you for this, Stacey. You have my vote and gratitude.
That was a very moving story. I thought you handled it with great finesse and dignity.
Good writing too, but watch your repeated words. I found quite a few. I do them too. It just takes someone else to point them out.
I'd love to see this story in the top 10. Good job and good luck.

I admire how you portrayed Beth's character. It takes a special person, to look beyond the physical disabilities & consider the person within.
A great story, Stacey.
