This wonderful story has an almost Rod Serling flavor to it; that surprise ending and the very nice intimacy of the narrator and Kathy. Yes, the ending was unexpected and totally nice. Cheers:)

I know we have been married almost 9 years now but sometimes I forget the things we talked about the first time we met. To let you know and I don't care what others might thing or say. I would never trade a day of those wonderful 9 years for anything in the world and I will and still always think your the most beautiful woman I have ever met inside and out. I loved the story,.
I was in tears when I was writing it, too. It brought back some memories...I wrote it hoping that my experiences can help someone else.
This story was so poignant, so meaningful... And I think it could apply to a lot of young girls these days. You've got a talent for description, and I could picture everything that was happening so crisply. To be honest, I thought the twist would be that the person watching her was a ghost, or a guardian angel. The ending really did give me a surprise, in a very good way.
Well done :)
Very well done.
