You have written this beautifully, with no grammatical errors whatsoever. I could not take my eyes from the page, so engrossed was I in what was going on. There was something ineffably evil behind the everyday life of the young girl, but it was so hard to grasp....until the very end. This is one of your very best stories, filled with perfect detail and a realness that has a stunning impact, especially at the end A worthy contender indeed!

This is really well written- reminds me of an older story like Anne of Green Gables or something. In fact, the ipod seems a little out of place. My only question is, what was Trevor???

I can just imagine you down at a country store surrounded by wide eyed children listening as you tell of local legends! You have such a knack for spinning folklore type of stories. I felt for the child's need for space, and her yearning to read. You developed this quite nicely, with a solid moral. Good job, as always! Robynn
