Forgive me if I compare this piece to watching a classic movie. Things are different now, but there was a time when everything had a certain amount class to it and being in black and white helped. This book was a masterpiece, you told a tale full of melancholy and of sadness with such a beautiful and powerful voice. I'm in awe, really... Your talent is undeniable and the way you captured the child's infatuation and admiration for Lucien was so chillingly real, I could feel the longing in your words. Truly wonderful. Voted.
So I came over to give it a read, and I have to say I really love it. You are a very good writer, both in grammar, storyline and structure...etc. All you need now is a good publisher.....LOL. Really good story, from such a young person, but one with the insight of a master,you have my vote.
Certain writers have a seemingly innate ability to construct a story and use the most exquisite arrangement of words to create images that captivate the eye and heart. Lillian has done this in Lucien. The beginning paragraph on page 7 is an example...only one of many. How unique and painterly.
