Sleep. Thats what they told me yesterday was, sleep. I am Blair Stonghold. I have awoken to the sound of music ringing, calling. For me. I wake in the rains of Earth and I know that I need to get back to the tower. Find my family and protect the Travler and all of the people that I am destined to protect from the hive and fallen. I call upon my Ghost.
"Blair! It's so good to see you again! I've missed our adventures and talks. It's so different now."
Laughs "I've missed you too ghosty. What do you mean it's different now?"
"You will see. Right now you are needed at the Tower Guardian."
Soon I see my ship appear and my weapons also appear along with my gear. I then look down and notice that I'm wearing exotic armor that I last wore that has my light maxed out to 600. With brown hair that flows in the wind and bright green eyes and a marking on my neck that proves that I am a Stronghold.
"Ghost is this me now?" I ask in confusion as I don't remember myself looking like this when I fell asleep only last night.
"Blair this is the new highest armor since you slept for so long we decided to keep you at your highest light."
"How long have I been asleep?"
"Uh oh okay lets go to the Tower."
Before I could say anything I was in my ship and on my way to the Tower. Looking at the wormhole change from red to blue over and over again. I finally arrive and I jump out of my ship and look around like I was a lost child. Everything has changed. I come to realization that everyone is staring at me because they have never seen me before or heard of me before.
"Blair go straight down those stairs." My Ghost appears to say then disappears. I begin to walk and my hair flies over my shoulder and I hear the sound of heels hitting the concrete ground. Everyone looks to where I am going and I walk down the stairs and get more looks. I see the long table and head that way. My Ghost appears.
"Vanguard this is-" My Ghost gets cut off as Ikora cuts him off.
"Blair Stronghold." She smiles and walks towards me to greet me.
"Blair, it's so nice to meet you my name is Ikora, Vanguard and leader of the Warlocks." She turns to the man in the bulky armor and says.
"Zavala don't be shy to her." As she gives me one last smile and walks back to her corner of the table. Zavala walks toward me and greets me.
"Hello Guardian, it will be a pleasure to work with you." As he shakes my hand and gives a smile on the corner of his mouth.
"Isn't there supposed to be three of you?" I ask looking at them then I feel a presence behind me and I quickly pull my knife out and push the person to the wall. But I stop and smile.
"Cayde I'm sorry." laughs
"It's alright I shouldn't have tried to scare the Awoken" He says laughing I release him and we stand there staring at each other for what feels like forever.
Ikora and Zavala look at eachother and give one other a look and Ikora clears her throat interupting us.
"Oh um right well as you know I'm Cayde-6 but everyone just calls me Cayde and I am the Vanguard Hunter leader as you already know becuase I'm awesome!"
I laugh and back away from Cayde something happened when I stared at him and it I think he felt it too but I'm not sure if he did.
"Cayde, How long have I been asleep?" I asked and he walked to the table and turned around and faced me and this time his optics had a expression that made my heart sink. He looked worried and upset.
"Cayde."I pleaded him to tell me.
"Blair you have been alseep for 600 years or more." He looked at me like it broke his heart to say, but what he didn't know it broke mine even more.
"What are you talking about I was just told to sleep yesterday. This can't be." I started walking away up the stairs and one question hit my mind that made me stop as Cayde ran in front of me which made my eyes water up.
"Cayde, where is my family?" I feel the heat rush to my cheeks as I know what he will say but there's still a bit of hope that I want him to tell me they are waiting in the hall of the Guardians for me.
"Blair, I'm sorry but they didn't make it throught the red war. Now don't go running off. Stay here, stay here with us we can help you and.
The last few words were too low to hear but all I needed to hear was that they didn't make it. Finally a tear one after the other fell down my face.
I felt Cayde's cold arm around my shoulders as he guided me to the table and yelled for chairs that didn't exist, that was for the vanguard table anyway. The chairs came by one of their helpers and Cayde guided me to the chair and sat me down but all I could do is stare at the table. Cayde sat down next to me and started talking to me while he was talking I could feel my mark on my neck glow blue to show that I am sad. Cayde of course noticied it and I feel the marks coldness which means it's a dark blue. I wanted to see my family I didn't ask to be the awoken and be told to sleep and during that sleep I lose my family and friends.
Then it hits me, friends. I stand up and run up the stairs and my mind is so focused I can't hear Cayde calling for me. I ran up the stairs and run to the left towards the tower hangar and run down the long hallway to the Shipwright. I found her.
I found my long lost friend that I thought I would never see her again. My good friend Amanda Holiday we both made eye contact and she gasped and ran to me like I had died and came back from the dead.
"Oh Blair it's been so long since the last time I saw you, and you look still young and your skin still looks like you have been awake this whole time but you haven't and I thought I wouldn't get to see you again. Gosh I just missed you girl." As she grabbed me and hugged me again. I smiled and laughed. " Amanda I told you I would come back and you would be my pilot again and here I am and now I find out that I will never see my parents again your the only peice of family I have left Amanda I really need someone." My eyes started to water saying that to her it's hard to take in for me waking up and thinking I will see my family again only to find out they are dead.
