Introduction
Vampires. Demons. Werewolves. We all know them to be fictional. Magical creatures made up for the enjoyment of society. Yet if one were to think about where the idea for these monsters came from, you may just find that they go a long way back. And if you were to question an ancient man of where he got the ideas for these creative drawings on the cave walls, you might find that they're not quite so fictional at all.
Chapter 1
"Right about now you should all be wondering why it is I've called you all here..." A man in his late twenties stepped out from the shadows. Running a pale hand through his black hair. Emerald eyes scanning those that stood before him. "Our satellites have picked up something....something we can't explain without taking a look for ourselves"
Yet again he eyed them all. Watching for any reactions. "There is an island, not far off of Europe, that we have discovered. It's something we've never seen before, so why it comes up now, we aren't sure of"
"So...." The ex-marine questioned "That still doesn't explain why you need us" He gestured to the rest of the people in the room. His expression showed curiosity. As if he was just waiting for some kind of exciting adventure, unique to all the rest.
"You are all the best in what I need you for" The man replied with ease "You for one are a born fighter, ready to take up the position of hero when anyone gets into any sort of danger. Then we have Alice over here" The already nervous woman jumped slightly at the mention of her name "She's good at showing people the right way to go. Even if she is a bit nervous...
"The same goes for the rest of you. You're all good at something that caused you to be invited here. We don't know what's gonna be on that island, but we know there is a new world out there. Just waiting to be explored."
The same thing went through most of their heads at the glanced at each other. "When do we start?" Another ex-marine, Will (as he was known by his friends) voiced their thoughts.
The man smiled. Happy that everything was running smoothly. With no one wanting to drop out. Not even the nervous Alice. "In two days we will set off. Make sure you've packed everything you're gonna need. Remember that this is not a holiday, no 5 star anything, just what we bring with us and find there."
They all made their way back to the rooms they had been staying in so that they could go to this meeting. Collecting all necessities etc. A few of them thought about adventures to come. Some others thought about what dangers may be lurking there. But most of them just thought, "This is gonna be fun"
??? POV
Silence fell upon the land as the six of us knelt down. All on our right knee. All in a line. The six priests took their place in front of us and placed one hand on our bowed heads. "You have all shown you are worthy of this position. So with the power given to me by 'The Great One', I give you the position of 'Beydk Tolzwodd'. You have earned it"
Everyone had a mark on their right shoulder. It represented rank and title. Showing who was superior to who. The six of our's just changed. We were now the top of the top. The highest rank, the highest title. From this day onward. Everyone would know our names. Everyone would fear our power. And everyone would respect our friends and family.
After the ceremony, I heard someone coming up behind me. "Stalker..." I murmured to myself, but he heard it.
"Why thank you Miss Taikezz" He replied playfully while walking faster to walk beside me.
"Enough with the formalities, Sudga, just call me Aki. Everyone else does..." I turned to face him as we walked along.
"I'd rather call you 'Akiona' just to annoy you but since you asked so nicely... sure thing Aki" He turned a smiled to me with maybe a little too much enthusiasm in his voice. "Congrats on the promotion, how does it feel to be a 'Beydk Tolzwodd'?"
"Why don't you tell me? You're one now aswell..." It was getting close to night now and the moon was the only thing to light our way.
I guess I should introduce myself. Since you 'human' readers will have no idea. I'm Akiona Taikezz, strongest female demon in the land. The one I'm talking to is Sudga Zero. Strongest male demon.
The other four that got promoted were Greiya Monoto (strongest female werewolf), Monyta Zalatoko (strongest female vampire), Kamo Cerogmo (strongest male vampire) and Leo Null (strongest male werewolf).
In our land, demons are the strongest of everyone. Earning that title by defeating those 'angels' millenniums ago. The so called 'god' is still on the run. He's probably hiding in your human territory. The one place we can't go...
But more of that later. We've been summoned to the castle for a congrats from my father...My bet is he's gonna act all nice in front of everyone else but it's always the same when it's just me. Sometimes I wish the deal with humans would be broken just so that I could escape...
"We're here" Sudga's words broke me from my thoughts as we stepped through the massive front gates...
Chapter 2
Will woke with a start, bolting upright. He felt sweat trickle down his brow, a feeling of fear slowly leaving him.
"It was just a dream," he muttered to himself "it wasn't real." Despite saying it to himself over and over he still couldn't shake the feeling of its brutal reality. To him, it had felt so real that a part of him wanted to run from here. To drop out of this expedition and go home to where he felt safe.
"Everyone get up, we've got a big day ahead of us!" The booming voice from the speakers dotted around the place woke most. The others were already up.
A small sigh escaped his lips as he stumbled over to the wardrobe. The voice was right, this was a big day ahead of them. For in a matter of hours, they would arrive at 'Island X'. No paradise awaited them, just the bitter taste of regret.
Aki's POV
The doors opened smoothly as me and Sudga walked through. The diamond floor shimmered as it was hit by the moonlight. "Welcome back Mistress Taikezz," one of the family servants bowed to me as I walked past, merely nodding in acknowledgement. "Your father is waiting in the dining room, you and Master Zero are the only ones yet to arrive."
We made our way along the many hallways in silence, until finally arriving. "You sure have a massive house Aki..." Sudga stared in awe at the grand doors leading to the dining room.
"Yeah yeah..." I only half listened as my eyes caught sight of my father the moment the doors opened. What may look like a welcoming smile to everyone else looked fake and menacing towards me, the only one here who knew his true self...
"Ah, it appears my daughter and Mr Zero have arrived at last," every last one of his words were dripping with poison and false happiness.
Sudga must have sensed my reluctance to step any closer to him and took it upon himself to distract him while I walked over to the others.
Greiya ran over to me with a grin plastered on her face. "Hey! Haven't seen you since the Ceremony!" She was always completely hyperactive and either smiling or grinning. I noticed Leo following her over to me with his normal blank look. He seemed to be a bit protective of her recently...I guess opposites did attract...
I glanced over to Monyta and Kamo and sure enough, it looked like they were flirting like there was no tomorrow.
"Settle down everyone!" His voice made my skin crawl as others stopped to listen. I didn't even bother trying to listen to his words. I just blocked it out with my thoughts.
That's when it happened. Everything seemed to go in slow motion. I felt a sharp pain spreading throughout my entire body, my eyes became unfocused and began to move around endlessly and I felt myself fall back into what seemed like nothingness.
It only lasted a few seconds to everyone else but to me it took years to subside. A shriek left my lips and everyone turned, I could tell. I had seen images in my head and wasn't going to forget them as quickly as how long it had taken for everything to return to normal. Only I was still falling.
I anticipated the feeling of hitting the ground but it never came. I felt someone's arms around me that held me up. My eyes were still blurred but I could just about make out who it was. "Sudga..." I murmured so quietly only he could hear me.
Everyone else in the room slowly began to gather round and mutter to each other. I managed to roll over slightly so I was facing Sudga, his arms still around me, just as my father pushed through the crowd to get to us.
"What happened?" That's just like him, to worry about what interrupted him other than if his own daughter was okay. I buried my face into Sudga's chest in an attempt to not look at him. I sensed his hand as it reached for my shoulder. Sudga's arms tightened around me slightly.
"I think she needs to rest now, don't you Mr Taikezz," There was a coldness in his voice that I'd never heard before and my father's hand stopped inches from my shoulder.
Without waiting for a reply, he lifted me up and walked out of the room before whispering to me. "Which way is your room?" I directed him exhaustedly. He lay me down on my bed gently before moving to leave.
I grabbed his arm before he went far a pulled him back. "I-I...I saw..." tears began to fall down my face as I recalled the images that had gone through my head. I hated showing weakness but they wouldn't stop flowing. I managed to pull myself together slightly before continuing. "Something is coming here...they have horrible weapons that cause destruction and," I paused slightly as Sudga sat himself on my bed "The deal will be broken."
Aki's POV
Sudga's eyes widened in shock as soon as the words came from my mouth.
"Are you sure?" His voice wavered slightly but I tried not to think much of it and merely gave a small nod of my head.
A light thumping sound made us turn towards the closed door. Sudga slowly walked over to it and pulled it open, resulting in Riley falling rather ungracefully onto the floor. She was my servant, hired by my father, but she was also my best friend in the whole of the mansion. She understood me and I felt like I could tell her anything and not worry about her spreading rumours.
"Eh, I wasn't eavesdropping, there was just this bit of dirt on the door that I was cleaning..." We raised an eyebrow at her blatant lie.
