EXT. GALAXY – DAY
On the horizon, a strange cloud seems to form.
EXT. CITY STREET – DAY
CUT TO:
People walking on the street unaware of the strange cloud gathering in the sky.
EXT. CLOUDS - DAY
Suddenly, the clouds begin to move and start to form a giant storm. A huge lightning strike appears in the middle of the storm and a bright light illuminates the entire sky.
EXT. CITY – DAY
People suddenly become aware of the storm in the sky and start to panic. People run in all directions, trying to find shelter.
EXT. CITY - DAY
Suddenly, a mysterious figure appears amidst the clouds. It’s a giant humanoid creature made of clouds.
EXT. CITY - DAY
The creature appears to be an alien being and is clearly not friendly. People try to run away but there’s no escape.
EXT. CITY - DAY
The alien creature starts to shoot lightning from its body and those that are too close are electrocuted.
EXT. CITY - DAY
People start to realize that the creature is taking people and houses up into the sky with its beams of lightning.
EXT. SKY - DAY
At the climax, a group of fighters from all around the world gather and try to fight off the cloud creature with their flying machines and weapons.
EXT. SKY - DAY
The heroes manage to fight off the creature and it eventually retreats. The skies clear up and the people who were taken up into the sky are rescued and brought back safely to earth.

EXT. PLAYGROUND - DAY
Nine-year-old NATHAN stands alone, looking up at the huge, billowing clouds in the sky. He takes a deep breath of the fresh spring air and feeling a newfound sense of wonder.
NATHAH
Mom said this is a prophecy.
Suddenly, an OLD MAN appears beside Nathan. He has an air of mystery and wisdom about him and he points up at the sky.
OLD MAN
Yes, the giant clouds you see are a prophecy. They've been sent by the gods to tell of future events that will shape the future of this world.
EXT. FIELD - DAY
Nathan and the old man walk across a field of wildflowers. The old man speaks in a low, measured voice.
OLD MAN
Some say the clouds will tell of a great battle between the forces of good and evil, while others believe the clouds are trying to tell us to look for something very different altogether.
NATHAN
What do you think it means?
OLD MAN
I don't know… (He pauses, then smiles) but I think it's something very important.
EXT. NATHAN'S HOUSE - DAY
Nathan and the old man sit on the front steps of Nathan's house.
OLD MAN
You must always remember the power of the prophecy. Be brave, and be strong.
NATHAN
Yes Sir.
The old man stands and walks away, fading into the distance. Nathan stares up at the clouds with a newfound sense of awe and understanding.
FADE OUT.

INT. KITCHEN - DAY
NATHAN, a young man in his 20s, is eating breakfast with his elderly father, OLD MAN.
NATHAN
What are you talking about?
OLD MAN
Oh, just some of the memories I have from living so long.
NATHAN
I don't understand.
OLD MAN
I have seen many Nuclear Apocalypses in my lifetime, but this one...this one I believe to be the final one.
NATHAN
(confused)
What do you mean?
OLD MAN
It's beyond anything we could have imagined. There is no escape from it. There are no survivors from it.
NATHAN
(shocked)
No...
OLD MAN
I'm sorry, Nathan. This is it. This is the end of the world.
NATHAN
No!
OLD MAN
I'm sorry, Nathan. This is the end.
NATHAN
(shattered)
How can this be?
OLD MAN
This is the way of things, Nathan. Sometimes life doesn't turn out the way we want it to. But we all have to accept the things we cannot change.
NATHAN
(angry and frustrated)
No! I refuse to accept this!
OLD MAN
I understand your anger, but this is reality. We must find a way to go on, even in the face of our final moments.
NATHAN
(tearfully)
But what can I do...?
OLD MAN
You must live each day like it's your last. Cherish every moment for what it is, because it may be your last.
Nathan looks away, trying to process this harsh truth.
