“Love is not my favourite solace. You know that! I’m too busy for something as time-consuming and pretty as love. Have you ever seen me wear finery? Have you seen me seduce a man? Well , I don’t think I’ll ever be able to do that in my life!” said Flora, a blonde haired girl with stony-grey eyes.
“Why, aren’t you too harsh on yourself and and love itself?Love is not something you seek. It comes naturally in one’s life. It just comes…you know…from somewhere deep within” said Flora’s friend Genelia, a bright-eyed, flighty little woman, who never had her brain in one place.
“I don’t know. I think it’s a kind of distraction from what I’m doing . I don’t want to fall in love and forget my steps on stage. I’m sure I’d do that if I ever fell in love. I’m pretty darn sure.” replied Flora.
“C’mon Flora, do you think people that fall in love are crazy? I’m in love with Carmen. I think he is the most charming man that ever lived on earth” retorted Genelia.
“Well, that’s your choice. You want to fall in love. You’re open to it. I’m not.” said Flora, the amateur ballet dancer, indignantly.
“You’ll soon have to open up , girl. You’re romancing your male ballet partner all the time, and who’d imagine you’d play the coquette in this one.” Laughed Genelia.
“Shut up , will you?” cried Flora, throwing a pom pom at Genelia.
