Dear Paige,

Do you remember me? It's Tianna. We knew each other back in Kindergarten. In North Dakota, your grandmother, Sandy, was my neighbor. I think about you all the time; do I ever cross your mind?
I have some memories from that summer. We'd always pick up apples and the green ones tasted really sour. I think I remember a bouncy house? I also recall jumping on my trampoline; that was fun. I remember playing hide and seek. I also remember my porch! Do you remember what I looked like? I sort of remember you. You had brown hair that was fairly short, right? I remember that you were eating lipstick once; I thought it was disgusting. I also remember that one time we were in your grandmother's house eating macaroni and cheese. I remember when you ate the black seeds of the watermelon and told me not to tell anyone; I told anyway, thinking it was something bad, but the adults were confused.
Are you surprised I remember those tiny details? Do you have any memories? I don't know why, but I miss you a whole lot. It's surprising because we weren't old enough to understand friendship, really. I don't know. Do you miss me as much as I miss you? I feel really sad--so sad I can't describe it. I don't know--I just get this feeling. I wish I could see you again. Really, I do.
Have you changed a lot since then? How's your family? What do you want to be when you "grow up"? I am more shy and my hair isn't red anymore. It's brown and wavy. My family's great and I have a lot of pets. I want to be a famous singer when I get older. I love to write and I write songs all the time.

Love, Your Long-Lost Friend,
Tianna
