The Forest Enchantment

It was so serene, a grand array of an amazing beauty.  A majestic of tall green trees that encompassed every inch of the earth.  It was a glorious tropical exhibit of nature that embraced her.  The fresh air from the blue sky above and the delightful sounds of birds chirping from the forest depths became mysteriously inviting.   She was amazingly astounded with much admiration to have acquired a piece of paradise, as she gazed out from the tri-level view of her newly designed home in the middle of the forest.

Skye was a successful Artist and while assessing the rooms, she arranged each of her paintings on the floor to be hung on the walls when her husband Terrell walked into the loft.

“Well, what do you think?”  She asked complimenting one of the paintings.

“Hey, that’s going to look great on that wall honey!”  He confirmed.

“Yea I agree!  I think it sets the tone for this very spot pulling in all of the colors in this room.  And this one will go fabulously in the kitchen on that wall going out towards the deck.  You agree?” She queried noticing that he was diligently hurrying to get ready to leave.

Suddenly he felt a penetrating stare of disapproval when he gestured. “What?”

“Where are you going?”

“Remember I told you I had a board conference with my investors this evening.”

“No, I don’t remember that!”

“Well check the calendar because it’s there.”  He admitted putting on his tie.

She rushed into his study and true enough it was documented.

“Oh honey, I must have forgotten.”  She stated with a sudden gloom.

“Yea well you have no idea how lucrative this deal is going to be.  That land development in Orange City is worth millions and I want to be a part of it.”   He expressed glancing back at her.

“Yea, I know.  You’re in this business for capital gain.” 

“Aw honey c’mon!  What’s the matter?  Isn’t all this what you wanted?  You’ve got your big dream home, money in the bank, stocks, jewels, cars.   You’ve got all the desires of a woman’s heart.  What more can a woman ask for?”

“You!  And not to be left alone all the time!  Honey, all of this fine but it’s nothing without you to share it with!  We’ve only been here for two weeks and now you’re going to leave me here all alone!”  She fumed.

He chuckled, “Aw honey!  Is that what this is all about?”  He kissed her.   

“Yes!”  She declared allowing him to
