At a Glance.

I quickly opened the door and let my friends inside. Once everyone was inside we walked over to a table near the window, where we watched the snow drift slowly to the ground.

"Jayden, do you want anything" asked Kara, my best friend for life.

"Yeah, a good hot chocolate" I replied my mouth already watering in anticipation of the warm, chocolatey goodness.

Kara went around our group asking everyone what they wanted. Then she headed up to the counter to wait in line. She's always the one to do stuff like that. Waiting for everyone, helping stranger, even donating blood to people who need. Just a genuine good person.

While my group of friends talked about boys, makeup, and hair, I sat quietly and continued to watch the snow pick up. First snow of the season.

Kara returned to ask for some help getting the cups. I willingly went up and carried about half back to the table, where everyone swarmed me before I could even put the cups down on the table.

With a grin on my face, I pick up my hot chocolate and take a tiny sip. Perfect. The same is done all around me and soon all I can hear is there little moans of delight.

The little bell above the door rings and I look over. I group of boys enters that I've never seen. Not very uncommon in New York. You may feel like you know everyone, but you never do. The boys ordered, got there drinks and sat down at a table a few away from ours.

I once again look back out the window, when I suddenly get that feeling of being watched. I quickly look over to the group of boys to see one staring back at me. The he smiles.

----------------------Ten Years Later-----------------------------------

My father stands beside me as I walk down the aisle. I've never felt so happy in my life. Then I see Ethan, standing ahead of me, looking awkward and shy, the same look he had on his face the first time I saw him in that little coffee shop. But now something else glistens in his blue eyes. Love.

The next thing I know I'm standing next to him, a ring on my finger. And when the priest says those unforgettable words, "you may now kiss the bride", Ethan is kissing me. My joy is magnified by a thousand because I know my life will be a good one, as long as he is here with me.
