We have a very simple rule set. You will be given a warning if a post or thread violates these rules. Strike Two will force us to delete said thread or comment.

1. You may post advertisements for your book, so long as they are free and you follow a simple format. Please include your name, the title of the book, a short blurb, and maybe something fun about your writing process. How long did it take to research? Where do you garner your inspiration? Is your project finished or in progress? How long has it been in the works?

2. Contests are hosted by the moderators of this group. Due to the sheer number of said moderators, not all will appear in the moderators listing above, but, rest assured; we've got you covered. Moderators and administrators may host contests with the consent of at least five other members of the Round Table Readings. If you don't know what that means, don't sweat it; moderators converse and discuss in a private group. If you are a member and would like to host a competition of your own, please send a message to an admin, and we will work something out for you.

3. Discussion is encouraged! Have a question about a grammar issue, sentence structure, content, showing and not telling, etc? Don't be afraid to ask! Our team of experienced BookRix users will be happy to help you with edits in your story or grammar questions.

4. Have fun! We're here to fill the void left when BookRix changed from their original format, as well as restoring the creativity and support of our departed, English-speaking site administration.

5. ASK QUESTIONS. They will be answered to the best of our knowledge.

6. If there's anything you notice, don't hesitate to PM an administrator.

Spring is approaching, and it's coming sooner than you think! Soon, the bees will be abuzz, the flowers in bloom, and we'll even have those refreshing April Showers! For some, the snow will just be melting, leaving patches of white between fields of growing green. For others, it's just a warmer version of the cool, green winter that doesn't really change during the year.

We want you to write about spring! Write about flowers in bloom, baby animals, even the dreaded muddy puddles... anything about spring!

Each and every entry will receive at least five (5) reads and comments from our group of experienced writers. Winners have their choice of prizes as listed below.

PRIZES:
*First Place: This prize includes THREE (3) of the following: A full edit and proofreading of any one (1) chapter of any one (1) book of your choice, including your entry; a cover; a book trailer; first chapter/prologue review; a revised book blurb; and/or a character/plot enhancement session. The winner will also receive some great pointers from our experienced authors!

*Second Place: This prize includes any TWO (2) of the following: A revised book blurb; a book cover; a character/plot enhancement session; and/or a first chapter/prologue review! The second place winner will also receive great pointers from our experienced authors!

*Third Place: This prize includes any ONE (1) of the following: A revised book blurb; a title suggestion discussion; a character/plot enhancement session; or a review of the first chapter/prologue. Of course, this third-place winner will also receive great pointers from our experienced authors!

GUIDELINES:
* You may submit ONE (1) entry. That's it. If you submit more, a moderator or administrator will contact you to help you choose the one you want to keep in the competition.

*Contest ends on May 15, 2014 at 8:00 PM/ 20:00 MST. If you need help, that's 10:00 PM/22:00 EST; 2:00 AM GMT on March 16, 2014; and 12:30 PM/ 13:30 ACDT on May 16, 2014. Please submit your entry in the appropriate thread. Results will be announced on June 1 unless otherwise postponed, so keep your eyes peeled around then!

*Your entry should be no longer than 8,000 words and a complete story (beginning, middle, end). No incomplete submissions, please. If it is part of a series, that's fine; please note so somewhere on your story where a judge could read it.

*Your entry must NOT BE FOR SALE. We understand that you might be in a moneymaking mood, but it's hard for some of our members to spend actual money to read your entry. You may post your story for sale once the contest has ended and the winners are announced, but your entries will be disqualified if put on sale before.

*Your stories must be original! Please do not post anything clearly based off of another's work! No plagiarism!

*Your story may not contain explicit material. In short, it must be suitable for readers under the age of 18.
