New to the group.

I recently published a new book called Dragon Fey. The story of a Aria Windborne, a fairy with dragon wings instead of butterfly wings who is completely useless with plants. One day when she and her friend are going to run away, she meets a boy in the woods who shows her where she belongs. When a great demon so old that his name has been forgotten rises again to destroy the world and recreate it in his image Aria must band with her new friends and family to destroy him. I also published the Fey to English Dictionary to help with the words and terms, though it may still have a few hole. I hope you check it out and enjoy! (PS: Dragon Fey isn't finished, though it is a lot closer to being so than some of my other books are.)

The wyvern has often been confused with the dragon, due to the similarities between them and due to the wyvern being a lesser-known mythical creature. In the middle ages, no clear distinction was made between the two. Since the sixteenth century, in English, Scottish, and Irish heraldry, the key distinction has been that a wyvern has two legs, whereas a dragon has four; however, this distinction is not generally observed in the heraldry of other European countries, where two-legged dragons are entirely acceptable.[4]

In the fantasy genre, the wyvern is usually considered to have two legs, whereas the dragon may have either four or none. The wyvern is regarded, moreover, as the distant, lesser cousin to the dragon, similar to a dog being the distant cousin to the wolf. Wyverns tend to be smaller, weaker, not as intelligent, and ultimately inferior to the much more ferocious and powerful dragon. While a dragon almost always has the ability to breathe fire (though other types of breath such as lightning have been seen as well), a wyvern will usually be unable to breathe fire. Those that can breathe fire are sometimes termed "fire drakes" and are still considered a lesser form. A wyvern will typically be unable to speak, while a dragon often does have that ability.[5] They are common in The Witcher books and games.

Various depictions in pop culture have featured creatures described as "dragons", even though they have features closer to the mythical wyvern. Notable examples are the 2002 film Reign of Fire,[6] the 1981 film Dragonslayer,[7] the role-playing video game Skyrim, the Harry Potter films, the Hobbit films,[8] and George R. R. Martin's A Song of Ice and Fire series.[9]

How many different types can you name? This goes from major to minor and if you give the name of a dragon that has a myth please tell the name of the myth.

Look everyone. I appreciate that people joined this group. But really? I am the only one on here that has ever said ANYTHING. I see I have some good friends on here that talk to me about dragons off of this, but I believe that if you join a group you should at least talk to the other people in that group. I don't want this group to be used as one of those things that everyone signs up for just to say they're in a quadrillion groups. It's like those people that go and friend a bunch of people just so they can say I have 573,274,238,844,000,000... etc. friends.

I encourage everyone to participate in this club, post your thoughts, books you think the others might like, books that you wrote, and well- just say how much you love dragons!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! <3 <3 <3 <3
