How many have actually met any of your favorite celebs. Were they anything like you thought they would be?
When I was a child, I went to the State Fair with my parents, Art Linkletter was taping a show there at the time and he was my idol. I wanted to be on the show so bad, so my dad took me to where they were going to be taping the show.
I got into the group of kids from which they were choosing who would be on the show. We... Show more
I am confused... what is the point of this group again?
If you check the booklist here, Jazz -- you will see that there are a couple of stories about celebrities. One of mine and a "real-life" story and another is a children's book, I believe, by Paula Shene about a dog who is a "celebrity" (fictional).
Thus, if you write a story... Show more

In 1996, I was Personal Assistant to singer, Art Garfunkel, as well. Some of you may know, also, I am an Actor/Singer/Playwright/Stage Manager/Director and sometimes Screenwriter and Producer. Theatre -- Show Business, really -- is my other life. Spiritual work is the other.
Of course, most of my training, life has been show business -- and thus, I have had the honor of meeting, working with and chatting with many celebrities. I also have lived in the mecca of celebrities -- New York and I have lived in Los Angeles/Hollyweird, California, too.

Hello Darkness My old Friend! One of my favorites. Of course I have never met Art, or Simon for that matter.
Not all my experiences with Celebs have been bad.
When My daughter was in Riley Hospital in Indianapolis, Tim Conway came to visit the children there. We were in line to see him when his people told him time was up. He would have to go. Tim said, "Have I seen all of the children?" When they said "No," he refused to leave until he had seen them all.
When it was time for my daughter to see him we were thrilled, he was so nice. Then he saw my son standing there with us, and asked about him. We said "He's not a patient." Tim said "He's part of the family isn't he? I'm not going to leave him out." It was almost four hours later before Tim was able to leave.
This is a man I am proud to have met.
