Best of luck. I'll read. Give me a bit of time, I have a long list, lol.
I believe the ads do a dis-service to this site, & are not representive of our writing. I am also concerned that a few are inappropriate for our younger members and defeats the object of having the family filter installed.

I believe, hopefully, that you are working on replacing the editing feature in our posts. As it stands now, we are stuck with deleting the comment and starting over.
Which leads me to the very aggravating "This comment was deleted" posts. Any chance on getting rid of them? Why are they even necessary? In longer, "Important Post" threads, they can pile up quickly and make things look...well...distracting (you might have had to... Show more

I would hope everybody rereads before posting. But if I change my mind on the wording, content or the post as a whole, I have to delete it, thereby creating those pesky "This comment was deleted" posts.
why when I pick a book to read nothing shows up

obsessed.
Hi obsessed., Can you give us more details so we can help you? Is there nothing inside a book when you open it to read, or are you unable to click on books at all? Please be as detailed as possible and we will do our best to help you solve this problem.
Thanks, -The BookRix Team
Update :): Just letting you know, I downloaded a book today and on Adobe Reader the cover showed.

It certainly isn't as complex as the old, and to my delight the upload from my files showed up exactly as I wrote them in Word! All indentations, all italics. It was a breeze. Good, good job, Team! The one thing I need to investigate in this trial creation now is how to edit the title and the cover. I just pulled a title out of thin air and uploaded a cover from those saved here at Bookrix to see what would happen.
@felixthecat - We're so happy that it worked for you, exactly how we planned it to! To edit your title, you need to click on "Edit Book" and then once you're in edit mode for your book, you will see three big buttons - the middle one is "Edit Book Info" and inside of that you'll... Show more

For your cover the big button on the right is "Edit Cover" and there you should be able to either choose a BookRix cover, select one of your previously uploaded images, OR upload a new image.
Let us know if you have any issues!

I have a question, I want to post my book on my blog, but I don't see how, could someone help?

Unfortunately right now we don't offer the 'cover link' to post the book on blogs and other pages. But it will be back soon. I will post an update in this group when it's back on. Sorry for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience.
I agree. It leaves you with a great workshop to work on your stories on site~ so you can pull or log into it at any time on any comp/smartphone/ tablet etc. I often create books for my eyes only that contain plot summaries, notes, maybe abstracts of chapters, character studies,... Show more

Why can't I write a group message any more in my group, and what's with the Big White block on my page, that I can't remove? No need for a background picture if you got that blocking the view.
I stopped the sale on a book 4 weeks ago, the grace period was over yesterday, and now I see its back up for sale. I wanted to edit it, or at least delete it to start over, what happen?
Will we not be able to use HTML or any other code... Show more

No, I'm sorry to say that you can't send group messages anymore - but if you create a new post, it will still send a notification to all the members, just like the group message did.

Hi ripples,

The big white block on your page is to make all your info easier to read. A lot of members were making so many changes that all the personal info, comments and book links were impossible to see. I've heard that people would be happier if it was at least an off white, so I'm going to bring it up at the meeting to see what we can do about it.
You can't use HTML on your profile anymore - for the reasons stated above :) It's sad, I know, but for the best!
In regards to your sale book, let me go and take a look - I'll post a message on your profile as soon as I have an answer!
Hi everyone. From now on I will post updates from the BX development team in this group. While I'm writing this, we're doing the last steps for the launch of the new and improved BookRix. As soon as you will have access to this site (which you have when you're reading this ;-)), we are already working on a list that contains the next steps (bugs that will be fixed as well as further improvements). I will inform you about what's on that list as soon as we're ready. Until then have fun with the new BookRix; i hope you'll like it as much as we do after you got familiar to the new site.
PS: And please be lenient toward my English; unlike our Community Management we are not native English speakers, just a couple of German nerds working on that BX stuff. :-)
i just started and i want people to read my book but i dont really know how
