Before publishing anything you'd like others to read (and presumably comment on constructively here on Bookrix) you should always engage your MS spellchecker and get one other person to read the text for you to make sure you pick up all typing, punctuation and grammatical errors, especially if English isn't your first language. This could be really good writing, but the multitude of mistakes on the first page alone put me off reading on. It's disrespectful towards your readers and, as you have the potential to become an author, it's also unprofessional - no literary agent or publisher would look twice at a manuscript full of errors. This is, incidentally, not book length by anybody's standard, just a short story at 2,348 words. Guide: young adult (12 to 18 years) novels should have at least 40,000 to 50,000 words; novels written for adults have a minimum of 80,000 words, more typically around 100,000. Hopefully, there are already lots of ideas swirling around in your writer's head to continue this engaging story and turn it into a proper book.
