You just need to improve the grammar and tense. Otherwise I liked the story. My fav part is the joke about customer care. I laughed so hard...

The story is very sweet and well-told. I had a bit of a problem at first with the name Vikki, since in America it's a girl's name. I had to surmise the main character was male from the context, and then I went and looked at your profile picture and the mystery was cleared up, lol.

Your command of English is amazing, as is your ability to speak so many languages. But there are, of course, grammar issues, which a quick, simple edit by a native English speaker could fix. Once that's done, your story will be perfect. I loved all the characters - they were easy to relate to, and the bitter-sweet nature of the tale was made even more significant in light of this being based on something real in your life.
