Your poem has a nice rhythm to it as well as deeper meaning than first appears. I like it and picked it as one of my favourites. I’m curious, what do you think the meaning is behind those simple words and rhymes? There is a sense of foreboding, a sense that the child’s world is about to collapse. You seem to be saying: Why are you laughing, the world is not the happy place you think it is. ie. “Who is real and who wears a mask?” Make sure you share your laughter with only those who care. There is a lot of meaning in this apparent simple little poem. I will look at your other work.
