I must say, Preston, that you tell a lively tale. Humorous and complex would be other adjectives equally descriptive and appropriate. In fact it was the complexity that threw me a decided curve in that I lost track for a moment in the narration about who we were discussing and when. Took some quick rereading to orient myself but once that was accomplished I returned to the enjoyable read. Yes, it was that. It was a most enjoyable read and I thank you for sharing it with us. Well written, my friend.

I love this wonderfully funny story and its parallel narrative of a man's desire to run a marathon and how unforeseen events changed live's forever. The complexity of each character was so amazingly written that they could have carried this story. But, this author crafted the rich diversity of each supporting character's background as well as their hilarious antics and wove them together in a seamless story that hooked me from the very first page.
I love this story and Mr. Randall writing style. All the twist and turns, and the way the story finally came together. It was amazing! Masterfully done!

A well thought out riot of comedic fate! The main character is Daniel (who alphabetizes the contents of his refrigerator) - after the death of his mother, whose last wishes were for him to exercise more, decides to start running in marathons, despite his loathing towards each and every mile he jogs. With the introduction of each supporting character, the plot just gets more and more complex, weaving a web of accident, coincidence and perfect comedic timing. I can't say much because I don't want to give it away, but I was thoroughly entertained and could not put this down, laughing my way to the finish line!
