I guess I'm lucky to know all the things you stated in olden days washing the clothes with hands, cooking food with sticks. We have only one fast food center
here which is established a few years back but still we go there only when something happy happens; to treat ourselves with it.
I guess living here, is like living close to nature and I'm proud about it.

blessed to have that and using the FF as a 'treat' is good - it is like candy - a little is nice - a lot causes all sorts of problems in your body. :-)

Good history, love the point made. Like the way you tied it all in. You do well at creating images. Delightful!

A horror story in a way. True, today is so different from the days when I was young. Seems like everything is packaged so neatly...even the fancy 'box' we ride in towards our last journey....lol
Well done Paula.

...unfortunately those lovely boxes are a dog and pony show. They look enticing while dishing out components better suited to bicycle seats. Even the fresh has problems today with radiation. I do try to buy locally but that is not always available, so like, everyone else, I have... Show more

I've been MIA from time-to-time, but whenever I come back...I'm never dissapointed with what I read from you Paula..:)

This is a very well-researched piece of writing, with a lot of heart (personal experience) and talent. The flow is excellent!
