I wrote it seven years ago. It's a chapter from a book I never completed (sadly). I think "Cathedral" had definite promise. Maybe one day I'll go back and complete it.

I was heavy into the phenomenal composer Karl Jenkins when I sat down and wrote the chapter, listening over and over and over to a particular cut from his album as I wrote.

Please, if you haven't already, bring up the youtube video and listen to the music as you read again. The portion of the chapter beginning, "I float on the wings..."...I was inspired so much by In Paradisum, envisioning one of the two main characters (Matthew) breaking his writer's block. I saw the images so clearly...

Oh wow I really loved this story and I wanna read more of it so do inform me when you'll make a complete book of it.

I checked the link. This is sooooo good. Thanks for introducing me to it. I really enjoyed it. Well I did a little research about this music and I got this

The lyrics are quite beautiful. Jenkins nailed the music.

I THINK Gabriel Faure wrote the lyrics, way back in the early part of the 20th century, although it's possible the lovely lyrics are ancient--a part of the Catholic Mass for the Dead.
Anyway, I've always loved Faure's version. It's much lighter than Jenkins'...but both are what I would consider Masterpieces.
