Ohmagosh, Crystal! THAT was the original book I wrote for my grandchildren (around 8-9 years old) back in...geez, when was it??? A few years ago, anyway.

Two of my writing partners said, "You CAN'T leave Munster out of the story until the very end. Revise the plot and put him back in from the beginning!"

Sooo...I opened a new Word file and started from scratch, saving Amelia, Munster, Lashawna and Jerrick. I "upped" their ages to early teens, and away I went. The new version is called "Dreams of Shadows".

Right now I'm working on the second book of the trilogy :)

Thanks, Jones. My critique group said, "Patrick, you MUST revise; get Munster back into the story early on!" I began a new draft, but never completed the second version. I always rather liked the first anyway, which is posted here.

Regarding the black box. I intended to leave the ending open for a second book.

I patterned it VERY LOOSELY on Mark Haddon's marvelous book, "The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time". Not sure if it's YA, Literary, Mainstream...just what it is, but quite a few readers wanted me to inject romance; the book being YA (if it in fact is). Problem: How can there be romance between sub-teens? :) Anyway...others wanted Munster back into the story EARLY. Which means rewrite, which I'm doing. Totally different plot.
