Goodbye

By:
Goodbye
"the walls close in as
cold air touches my skin
I'm tired of the lies
trying to pretend
that I'm not dying
I fake a smile
luckily they don't care enough
to dial into my real emotions
they couldn't bare
the truth
if only they tried
pealing through my layers
to see the real me
then maybe
they would finally love me"

Sorry I didn't stop by earlier. I'm not usually a poetry fan, but this was so well written. I really enjoyed it. Can't wait to see more of your work.

Thanks! Also, that was fine, I haven't even been on in weeks.

I really enjoyed the imagery and the raw emotion of the poem. I wonder what it would sound like if it was done as a spoken word poem.

That's what it was intended for. All my poems are meant for spoken word. thanks so much for your feedback!

Brilliant, but very poignant:(. This poem is extremely moving. So sad that they had to leave the world to find relief. No-one should have to feel like that.
Again, i think i should mention this piece of writing is amazing. I look forward to reading more of your work. :-)

Thanks so much! Believe it or not, I wrote it in two minutes... I was in a rush haha but I was really happy that it came out good! It means so much that you check it out and liked it!
