Review - I just came from 'First Look' in SW where I commented on your other books first page. I wanted to see what you had done with this book. First, am I correct that you are translating into English from another language? If you are, I'm impressed. It also would explain some of your sentence structure.

Next, now this is a book! Interesting idea: fire wizard. I enjoyed the beginning. You did a good job slowly introducing us to Lucky Dawg, giving just enough back story as to not detract from the character you were building, while moving the story forward. I like your sense of humor.

Also enjoyed your dialog flow. Your last line, "world went black and it's not even a color I like" shows me you have a different writer's 'voice.'

You did a very good job starting a first chapter here. This shows me you have a grasp for how a book needs to start. I think you could be a very good writer. Keep writing. There is no way this is the end of this story. There has to be a chapter two. Maybe no happy endings, but more story for sure. Robynn
