Thanks...the kitten story is a true story.

I thought these little stories or 'flashes' as you call them were interesting, thought-provoking, sorrowful and touching. The one about the abortion was really heart-wrenching as the baby is pondering his/her new life...then is promptly snuffed out, very sad. The one about the kittens was sad but with a happy ending as all the kittens were safely rescued. It makes one further believe in the unconditional love that animals have, both for their own kind and people as a whole.

I really enjoyed all of the clever, little snippets you included in this volume. I am curious as to the inspiration for each one. I know one was based on a true story, the heroism of the mother kitten. Compelling and emotional, Laz. Heart-wrenching and poignant, as always.

Thanks, I wanted it to be in the first person ( not my favorite ) It had to be, because it's about a continuous journey from mind to mind or situation, always as if it's happening at that very moment.

I think you have a way with words, that's a definite. I am not sure the first person present tense works for me here. I think, perhaps past tense would work better.

It's great you keep churning stuff out. It's the best way to keep learning.
