Very deep poem, I'm still wrapping my head around it. Your English was flawless, as far as I can tell.

The story is the most compelling part of this poem: that of an old man, defeated by the elements and clinging to rituals he thinks will postpone his insanity. I'm not sure if his crime is hinted at, but perhaps the "menagerie of mummies" are the people he's killed?
