This book is about a family of werewolves. The main charactr is the son, Rhonny. When he is 10, his parents send him off to find food for this for that night at the lake. When he returns, his family has vanished. He assumes that it was the fault of the apes, who have been scheming to get rid of the werewolf species for a long time.
