The Romance Of A Christmas Card
Although author Kate Douglas Wiggin is most famous for her light-hearted novels such as Rebecca of Sunnybrook Farm and Mother Carey's Chickens, we see another side of her in this book. Although this is a Christmas book, it is not all light and cheery. The story involves some death and depression and dysfunctional families, but in the end - a strange set of coincidences ultimately lead to redemption. Originally released in 1916, this is a wonderful read with some valuable lessons to be learned.
