I hear you, I've read a couple myself that had me face palming, throwing and down right yelling in frustration at some of them and the worse part, when I start a book I have to finish it,lol! I think this 'spoof' might be the start of a new trend if you ask me,lol! ;0)

I got your request to read "Coward," and while I was at it, I also read your other work. I could so relate to your main character - you're very good at expressing realistically how someone in that situation would feel (the challenge of proving yourself after being called a coward is pretty hard to resist), and caught the essence of cowardice in bullies. Great irony! You also have, I saw from your other writing, a natural ability with poetry; it was all excellent. And I really loved the photos. The one of black horse reminded me of one of my favorite books of all time, "The Black Stallion" by Walter Farley.

Anyway, keep going with your poetry, and please finish your stories, too. I look forward to reading more - and thanks again for your encouragement! :-D

The parent company is from Germany, yes. I did some checking of my own and figured out that JustFiction (I think that was the name) is a very new branch of this publisher. Normally, they try and get people who have written academic theses to sign up with them; from all that I was able to discover, they're the literary world's equivalent of "ambulance chasers" (lawyers who follow ambulances to the hospital to find distraught individuals and convince them to sue whoever may have caused the accident). They seem to look for unpublished writers, and apparently go to websites like this one where they "research" the writers to see who has produced the most, or who had gotten good reviews from the others, without learning whether or not the titles that catch their interest are in fact a complete manuscripts. Nothing they offer or actually do even vaguely resembles the behavior of a legitimate publishing company.

On the supernatural front, I did add another chapter to the vampire book, and am currently working on the next chapter for the werewolf story. I'll let you know when it's been uploaded - thanks for your encouragement!
