This was almost poetic prose. However, it turned out to be repetitive narrative. What I mean is that there were unneccesary repeats of the same words. The plot was good though and for that, I will give you my vote.

please do not take me wrong, i m not a criticizer, there is a repeation of same words, which feels like reading same sentence again, although i like your story, good luck for contest
