The author cleverly draws the reader in and maintains the readers empathy for the main character, throughout.

The intricate plot portrays the feasibility of a person, given the right surroundings to realize one's true feelings and acceptance of others, regardless of appearance, language barrier or cultural differences. - It's intriguing what one may discover among the drift wood and shells on the beach.

It was a depressing dreary kind of day, until I picked up this truly wonderful tale; the best I've read in days. It belongs in all major bookstores. As I read the last few pages I had goosebumps. What descriptive and fanciful writing!

I absolutely love reading your work, Janice. It's such a pleasure. This story is woven with the gentlest of literary threads, overpowering in their force to suck the reader in. It's too irresistable to stop reading, so don't start unless you finish. Which, of course is what Janice has done as a writer. From the first word, the story turned a complete circle, leaving this reader somewhere in magical time, having to be dragged out by willpower to face the fact that it was over - no more words on the page. Perfect! It's how it should be.
I would reccommend reading EVERYTHING this talented author writes.

I love it when an author can take me on a journey through their character's eyes. I felt the sea and was taken back when I lived in Hollywood FL. and would escape each night after closing down the travl agency. The only complaint I have is it was way too short. I hope that one day you will make a sequel to this. Very descriptive and was a very enticing read from the very start! :)

(very well written and if you ask me about 100 pages too short {i would have loved if you'd brought more scenes to the book with the same type of 'indepth' comments and feeling about it.} Loved it.
