As always, you have done an excellent job in capturing the scene and the emotional fervor of the characters. This particular piece comes to me as...compelling. I love the mischeviousness you bring to the two boys; the brisk religious belief to the mother; even the creepy old man! It brings the story to life.
What shall this 'surprise' be...? Hmm. I eagerly await the next chapter to find out! 8)
