John, As always, great storytelling and your writing style is superb. I felt Adam's nervousness in the hotel room as he flustered with his clothing, checking the clock, flustering some more. Sad, but satisfying read.

I too guessed what was coming (more or less) but it did not (in any way) spoil my enjoyment. Nice to see the dodgy attorney and Adam's evil brother get their comeuppance.
Some great (original sounding) metaphors too: whore in a church; she was the fountain... etc
Sex scenes (always difficult) were well handled and not too explicit.
Some humor too: like the Mutt and Jeff reference.

I liked it, I thought it was very good and well written. Although I totally guessed what she was from a mile away, it was still a very sweet and satisfying story. It's one of those stories that is just meant to make you feel good, and that's fine with me. Good job. ^_^

Gabriella Marguerite Duchene. Her name is a throaty purr of satisfaction...much like this story.

John, at first I felt the sentences though structured well, seemed too long. This only lasted for a split second when I realized I was thinking, ("My God, Adam is all over the place. Is he nervous or something?") is exactly the snapshot you'd written. Nicely done. :-)
