When I first read the title of the writing prompt, one fictional movie
location came to mind immediately: Pandora. Pandora is the luminous and
breathtaking planet in James Cameron’s Avatar.
From the Hometree to the Tree of Souls to just the bioluminescent world of
Pandora, I want to see it all. Cameron’s use of visual effects in the movie is
absolutely incredible, and Avatar is by far one of my favorite movies of all
time. While I can’t really use the advice of the article such as going to
where the movie was filmed, I can go to the The World of Avatar in Disney
World. This all-new section of Animal Kingdom is the perfect way to truly
embrace Pandora and Avatar itself.
In The World of Avatar, you can experience the exhilarating Flight of Passage
on the back of a banshee through the use of 3D technology. Another way to
experience the beauty and bioluminescence of Pandora through the ride, Na’vi
River Journey. Another way to truly experience the movie is by at the Satu’li
Canteen. This restaurant allows you to dive into the cuisine and culture of
the Na’vi.
The next time I go to Disney World, I am definitely going to visit the World
of Avatar.
